Convict Jaybee Sebastian is one of the witnesses for today's house probe. Sebastian was accompanied by his legal counsel, Laywer Eduardo Arriba.
Sebastian admits in his affidavit that he is indeed had a quota amounting to P10 million for election funds of Leila de Lima.
He however denied that he was a government asset as earlier claimed by Senator Leila de Lima.
“No. Yun ang gusto kong linawin dito,” Sebastian told Rep. Reynaldo Umali, House committee on justice chairman, when asked on the matter.
Prior to his testimony, Arriba said his client would be testifying among others, that Sebastian gave former De Lima P2 million after the Dec. 15, 204 raid at the NBP, and another P2 million after the grenade blast at the NBP on Jan. 8, 2015.
Meanwhile, House panel recommends immunity for Jaybee Sebastian, five others.
